Wedding

Sunday, August 29th, 2004

Yesterday I was in a wedding. I want to greet Jordi and Marta. They got married yesterday.

Wedding rings

We started the weekend on friday. We take the car to Reus, where we were suposed to spend the night. There, in the hotel, we met Jordi and his family and we plan to have dinner with them and some more friends.
On saturday we woke up early. We took the video camera to nake the video. We met Jordi in the hall, take some pictures and leave towards Marta’s house in Mont-Roig. There, the story repeated. We met all the family, take pictures and record some videos. At 12:00 we were at the church. There we met all the rest of guests/friends. 1 hour of ceremony and Jordi and Marta got married. Now, the restaurant was waiting us. We went back to Reus, to Mas Sedó. Enjoy the menu and dance till late at night. Some more dancings in the disco and straight to Cambrils. Just a coffee and back to the hotel. On sunday, rain and more rain, so back home and relax.

Els Pets’ Concert

Friday, August 27th, 2004

As I promised you yesterday, I was in the concert last night and I took some pics. I have chosen 3 of them.

It was a strange concert. The last time I saw them life in Matadepera was more than 10 years ago. It was in the old hockey hall before it falls down. I was almost all the concert with a little tear in my eyes. Emotion, memories… You know… All this mix of feelings running inside you, you don’t know exactly what’s this, but it’s there.

Yonge Street: World’s longest street

Wednesday, August 25th, 2004

Yonge Street, the world’s longest street with almost 1,900 km long.
Located in Canada, it starts in Toronto, just in front of Lake Ontario, and goes straight to the north. We were there, but we only walked during 2/3 km from “One Yonge Street” across the crowd. Just a little part of it.
As you can see in this picture, the number is as big as the street.
If you want to know all the history about Yonge Street, you can read it in this web and this other.

Imagine how would be to memorize 1 million decimal places. I’m sure that Lisa Simpson could do it. Could Homer do it?

Back from Canada

Sunday, August 15th, 2004

I’m alive. I’m back from Canada and the States. After spending two weeks on holidays in America it’s time to update my weblog, and in a few days my Gallery with all my trip pics.
The trip was as we expected. We could visit all the cities and places planned (Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, Quebec City, New York City and the Niagra Falls) and we had time to see some covered bridges from the 19th century.
I will explain a little bit more the trip in another post with the pics.
One thing to emphasise on: Canadians are cool!
