First match, first victory

Tuesday, November 30th, 2004

After one month waiting, the football league has started today.

The field is great, completly new. It’s made with artificial grass. It is still being built, but it’s a good place to play.

It was cold and wet, like 7 degree and almost 90% humidity.

We were excited to start the league, and it started in the best way:

First match, first victory. Final result: 5-2.

Sorry Everybody

Thursday, November 11th, 2004

Sorry EveryBody is a website where some americans say:

“…please remember that some of us “hopefully most of us” are truly, truly sorry. And we’ll say we’re sorry, even on the behalf of the ones who aren’t….”

They know that president Bush is not a good president and they want to show it to the world.

The Cigarrette Counter

Thursday, November 11th, 2004

The Cigarrette Counter is one of the most stupid gadgets I’ve found in the net.

The Cigarrette CounterHis function is just to count how many cigarrettes are inside the box. But the worst is that you have to push the button to decrease the counter!!!

But I think it was not developed in this way. I suppose they want to make a gadget that helps you when you try to put a limit. For example: If you want to smoke only 12 cigarrettes a day, you insert 12 in the counter, and don’t mind if you have 15 on 3 cigarrettes, you will know how many cigarrettes you can smoke during that day.

In their website you can find more information about this gadget, and the price: 5$ plus shipping. For me, it would be the worst spent money in my life… but I will not buy it anyway… It’s 1 year an 3 months I stopped smoking…

Melinda and Melinda

Tuesday, November 9th, 2004

Melinda and Melinda” is the last movie I’ve seen. It has been just tonight.

The director is Woody Allen. A very particular director… you know… or you like his movies or you just hate them. Some years ago I was in the second group… It was an automatic answer… when I realised that it was a Allen’s movie I didn’t want to see it.

But all changes with “Celebrity” in the 1998 with Kenneth Branagh, Joe Mantegna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Winona Ryder, Melanie Griffith and the unkown (in that time) Charlize Theron, a black and white film that introduces me to Woody Allen’s world.

The last one I saw was “Anything Else” (2003), with Jason Biggs (American Pie), Christina Ricci and a long etc…

If you like Woody Allen, just go directly to the cinema to see it, you will enjoy the film. If not, do it anyway and you will discover all the good films you’ve missed… as I did 6 years ago.
