Fa uns mesos vaig donar-me d’alta a una web que et permet fer una monitorització de les webs que tu li indiquis sense haber de tocar res de codi.
D’aquesta manera vaig saber al moment la caiguda que ha patit la meva web aquest ultim cap de setmana degut a una mala migració de servidors de l’empresa de hosting on esta OriolSala.com.
Aquesta web, www.site24×7.com, et permet rebre correus electronics quan detecta que el servidor ha caigut, un cop torna a funcionar, apart de informes diaris o setmanals del que es coneix com a UpTime i DownTime (temps de funcionament i fallada dels servidors). Però el més sorprenent és que també permet les notificacions de fallada i restabliment del servidor mitjançant SMS, i gratuitament!

Realment va molt i molt bé, ja que no acostumo a entrar cada hora als websites que tinc, així ells fan la feina per mi i jo em puc dedicar a fer la meva.

Per cert, vaig coneixer aquest servei a través de Genbeta, si no recordo malament.

M’ha tornat a passar! I realment encara no sé quin és el motiu.
Per sort, gràcies a l’ultima vegada que ja va passar, tinc un cron que em fa una còpia diaria del blog per casos com aquest.

Ja està restaurat i funcionant. Alguns posts que havia escrit no es publicaven. Canvi de versió i espero que solucionat.

Per fi he pogut actualitzar el blog a la versió 2.0 de Wordpress. Però això no és el més important, sinó que per fi he pogut arreglar el problema que tenia amb la versió anterior i postejar tots els articles que tenia però no es mostraven. Per tant, ara ja podreu veure els posts dels ultims 3 mesos.

Sento el retard, però entre “pitos i flautes” m’ha estat impossible fer-ho abans.

Espero no tenir mes problmes similars a aquests i poder anar escrivint reglarment sense problemes.

Aquest és el meu primer missatge en aquest weblog en Català . Com ja comentava ahir, després de més de dos anys escrivint en Anglès, trobava a faltar una mica el Català , i veient que de blogs en Anglès n’hi ha a patades, i que la meva llengua materna és el Català , quina millor ajuda a aquest preciós idioma que escriure a la xarxa en catal? .

A partir d’avui intentaré escriure més, ja que també és cert que el fet d’haver d’escriure en anglès, moltes vegades em feia desistir o fer comentaris molt curts.

Benvinguts al meu nou blog en català.

Comencem!

After almost 2 years of blog (one year in this last “WordPress” format), I will say goodbye to English.

The reason that I start writing this blog in english was simple. I started it when I was in Sweden (2003) in Erasmus. I would like to create a way to get in touch with my Catalan friends as well my Erasmus friends, so I decide for english because all of them could understand it.

After 2 years, I was trying to continue this blog in english for my Erasmus friends, but I’ve realised that all my friends know about me directly, not using this blog. And if they want to know anything about me, they can contact me by email and ask it.

Now, I want to go on with this blog I started, but as you can read, the purpose now is completly different, so from now on, I will write it in my mother tongue, Catalan.

Apart of this, this is another way to help Catalan to be in internet in this globalized world that we are in. Catalan is a minoritary language spoken only for 6.000.000 people and with a big presure from Spanish, so I think it could be my little apportation to Catalan.

The very next post will be in catalan. Thanks a lot to everyone, and if you want to understand any of my posts, please ask it on the “Comments” section and I will translate for you.

It has been a long time fighting against SPAM in the comments on my weblog. The first step was moderating them, but when you recive almost 100 spam comments at the same time, it’s difficult to manage all them.

The solution goes through this plugin. This plugin adds a random image in the “Post Comment” page, and you must retype it in the text field below. If they so not match, you cannot post it. It’s easy for a human being, but hard for a robot or bot.

I’m sorry for this inconvenience, but I think you will understand it.

Today, someone has tried to spam my weblog. They send a comment to each thread. But as the comments are moderated, they do not appear directly in the web. All of them were deleted.
